This property has been reported by guests to have ongoing issues with staffing, maintenance, and security. An examination of public reviews posted on various travel sites may confirm these issues. There have also been a number of complaints regarding potential safety concerns on Coki Beach, which is the primary beach access for this property.

*** A reopen date has been given for the kids pool to reopen at the Rio Mar Resort in Puerto Rico. It is now expected to reopen in late-Feb to early-March. The waterslide will remain closed to guests. *** The waterslides at the resort have been closed to guests. No information has been released as to why they are closed or if they will be reopened. Beginning early September to late November 2025, Vistana Beach Club will be undergoing villa interior refurbishment. Work will occur daily during daytime hours, so please anticipate construction noise during this time. All resort amenities are expected to remain open and fully operational.
In addition, the South end of our Ocean Front Building will undergo extensive concrete work during this time which will involve noisy concrete demolition at times, and workers moving around guest areas, particularly at the South end of Building 1. The Clubhouse pool area will be closed for refurbishment from Sept. 15, 2025 to Oct. 10, 2025. All other resorts pools and amenities are expected to remain open during this time.

This resort requires a resort fee estimated at $60 for guests, exchanges, and Club Wyndham owners. Mobility accessible units are extremely limited at this resort. If you are mobility challenged, you must arrange for an accessible unit prior to check in; either via Club Wyndham owner services or RCI Member Services. This property operates with a Comfortable Carrying Capacity on the mountain. This means that during busy times, overall lift ticket sales may be limited or even restricted from guests of owners. Ocean Drive has been permanently closed to vehicles and the entrance to the property is open to foot traffic only. For ride-share guests, there is a drop off point at the corner of Collins Avenue and 14th Street about a block away. For guests with vehicles, parking in local garages is necessary and requires a daily fee which is estimated at $60. A garage is located about two blocks from the property.
