The Disney Vacation Club villas at Bay Lake Tower in Orlando are scheduled to undergo a complete interior refurbishment in 2024. No specific details have been provided, but the work is expected to be extensive and to be completed in phases to help minimize the impact on guests.
Disney Vacation Club's Hilton Head Island Resort opened to guests in 1996. This DVC resort is comprised of 102 residential style timeshare condominiums: studios (sleep four), one bedroom (sleep five), two bedroom (sleep nine), and three bedroom grand villas (sleep twelve). This resort is scheduled to undergo complete interior and exterior renovations starting in July 2023 and is expected to be completed in phases throughout the remainder of the year.
Hyatt Residence Club at Sunset Harbor is located in the Old Town neighborhood of Key West near Mallory Square. This is a small resort comprised of forty residential-style timeshare condos. Two bedroom units sleep up to six. One bedroom units sleep up to four. Studio units sleep only two guests. Amenities include a swimming pool, whirlpool spa, fire pit, and bbq grills. 24 hour front desk and concierge services are onsite.
Parking is extremely limited and may be restricted to one vehicle per reservation regardless of unit size. Parking fees are estimated at $30 per day, with a subsidized parking rate of $55 per week for timeshare owners. A housekeeping fee is commonly charged to guests staying on reservations booked using Hyatt points. This fee is estimated at $75. Kaanapali Beach Club is undergoing exterior repair and painting, as well as upgrades to the HVAC systems. The work is underway at this time and is expected to continue until the summer. Specific dates weren't available as the current work has been delayed several times by weather. Per the front desk, the work is being done in small stages to minimize any impact on guests.
Also, since the Hilton acquisition of the Diamond Resort brands, the timeshare owners and their guests no longer pay a daily resort fee or parking fee. Guests are still required to pay the State of Hawaii transient tax at check out. Currently, that is estimated at $17 per day for a 1br condo. Marriott’s MountainSide Resort will be undergoing multiple enhancement projects from Apr. 15, 2023, through July 31, 2023. Dates are subject to change. During this time, guests may experience extremely limited parking on-site and the parking restriction of one vehicle per reservation will be strictly enforced. As needed, additional parking will be accommodated in the Park City Mountain Plaza.
The resort will be completing a refurbishment of the Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villa’s Maile and Napali pools, followed by the Main pool and Kids pool. The work is currently scheduled from Sep. 5 to Oct. 27, 2023. Dates are subject to change.
The StreamSide Clubhouse Pool will be closed for refurbishment from April 20, 2023, to May 25, 2023. During this time, the Clubhouse is expected to remain open. Dates are subject to change.
From September 8 to November 17, 2023, Westin Riverfront Mountain Villas is scheduled for villa refurbishment. Dates are subject to change. Work will occur daily during daytime hours, so please anticipate construction noise during this time. All other resort amenities are expected to remain open and fully operational for your enjoyment.
The construction of a new sundeck is scheduled through April 9, 2023. The Marriott’s Monarch firepit will be closed during this time. Please anticipate construction noise during daylight hours.
Bluegreen Vacations at Mill Springs Lodge in Pigeon Forge is expected to open to guests in 2024. This resort is planned to include sixty-seven residential-style timeshare condominiums: three-bedroom presidential suites, two-bedroom villas, and studio units. Planned amenities have not yet been announced.
Marriott’s Grand Chateau will be undergoing villa refurbishment scheduled from June 5, 2023 to September 2, 2023. Dates are subject to change. Work will occur daily during daytime hours, so please anticipate construction noise during this time. All other resort amenities are expected to remain open and fully operational
The Westin Desert Willow Villas has scheduled interior reurbishment from August 2023 through the end of the year. Construction activity, smells, and noise is expected between the hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The resort will be undergoing a refurbishment of the Lagoon pool between August 2023 to March 2024. Dates are subject to change. During this time, the Lagoon pool will be closed but other pools and amenities will be open.
Marriott’s Aruba Surf Club will be undergoing a villa renovation for units in the Spyglass building from Aug. 10, 2023, through Nov. 11, 2023. Dates are subject to change.
The Main Pool and the Lap Pool are expected to be closed for renovation from October 1, 2023 to November 4, 2023. During this time, the pool bar will remain open along with the Lizard Lagoon and the Relaxation Pool.
